Weekly Recap (August 9th - 15th)
Two home matches and two wins during the past week! The ladies played Westlake on Tuesday and Lehi on Thursday. The team completely swept Westlake winning 5-0 for the JV and Varsity. Lehi was a tight match as we swept the JV and defeated the Varsity 3-2. There have been some progress in the doubles as well as our 2nd doubles team of Taggart and Flinders pulled off a good win vs. Lehi.
Both teams are looking for revenge this week as we take on Herriman Tuesday (away) and Lone Peak on Thursday (away). The ladies have been working hard so it'll be fun to see if it pays off as we go through the second half of our season.

The gals started their season off playing two tough teams, Lone Peak and Herriman. The match vs. LP was a decisive victory for the Knights as they swept both Varsity and JV but the gals played hard and closed the gap from where we were last year. We have a number of new players on the team who contributed and will create a more competitive team going forward. The girls got to see what a top level team looks like we're committed to work hard to get there.
The Herriman match was a grinder, it was great to see that the extra conditioning has paid off for the girls as last year we struggled physically if a match went three sets. While Varsity lost 4-1 JV swept the Mustangs 5-0! The Varsity had 4 three-setters which indicate how close the match actually was. Herriman is a top team in our region and have already defeated Lehi 4-1 so our rematch will be a great chance at redemption.
This week there is only 1 match on Thursday @ Riverton. Bus leaves at 2:15, the girls will be dismissed from school at 1:30 to change and get some hitting in (AKA get a sweat going). All players are welcomed to come although they only have about 20 players which I'll check on the day before and let everyone know.
